The Big Bong Theory
Mumbai

They used to say 'What Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow'. What they din't say was that India gets it done day after, while Kolkata kept on thinking, while making perfect circles of smoke in the air.

Kolkata is a city that's perennially waiting for ache din. Jobs have left the state, infrastructure is collapsing, colleges are poor but the romance is still well and truly alive. It's fun to grow up in Kolkata, it gives you an experience other cities won't. Because people in Kolkata have something others don't - time. Lots of it.

Three comedians, Anirban Dasgupta, Vaibhav Sethia and Saurav Mehta, who grew up in Kolkata and came out of the city's comedy scene get together in Mumbai for the first time to bring to you The Big Bong Theory, a hilarious and intelligent comedy show from their unique perspectives. Kolkatans don't have jobs, but they have jokes. Many many jokes.

Anirban Dasgupta

Anirban Dasgupta is an engineer turned corporate salesman turned ... married man by the age of 24. That's a ridiculous age for a Bengali to get married, unless the girl is pregnant. Going by the really smart decision making he had displayed in life, comedy was the next logical move. He likes to talk about his inter community marriage, corporate life, politics (because Bengali), Facebook and various current affairs. He is based in Kolkata.

Vaibhav Sethia

Vaibhav was cast out by the Marwari community after he decided to quit his high paying job, to do comedy. He admits he misses it. For the food. The people, not so much. Most of his jokes are renderings of what he calls ''bookmark moments'' from his life. That includes 5 years of architecture in an IIT, the only girl he managed to talk to, and the 7 jobs he quit in the last two years.

Saurav Mehta

Saurav Mehta, is a popular Stand-up comedian and has performed at many events like My Baby Thinks I'm Funny with Sorabh Pant.
